Cheating at casinos are common. Players cheating with the help of casino employees are not extraordinary, too. But a casino employee admitting to having cheated is pretty rare.
Gemini Isham was a former employee—a craps dealer—at the Horseshoe Casino in Cincinnati and he has just pleaded guilty to one count of casino gaming offense.
The offense—or rather, the offenses—happened almost two years ago. Investigators found that the 42 year old craps dealer helped a player win in more than 150 instances.
Isham helped the patron player, Keith Washington, by giving the latter extra chips to add to his bet each time. This resulted to a loss of over $96,000 for the casino.
Washington, whose criminal records include previous charges of drug trafficking, has also been indicted on casino gaming charges to which he pleaded guilty this September. He was sentenced in early October to three years of probation. On top of that, he was also ordered to pay a fine of over $45,000 in restitution to the casino.
Isham on the other hand has been indicted in July and will be sentenced by the Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge, Megan Shanahan, on December 1, 2015 at 9:00 in the morning.
