June 2014. It was the 21st birthday of Teen Wolf actor, Cody Saintgnue, and he decided to celebrate it at The Mirage Casino and 1 Oak Nightclub with his friends.
Little did he know the supposedly sweet occasion will turn sour soon—sour enough to prompt him to sue the casino and nightclub.

According to the complaint filed by the legal team of Saintgnue, this was what happened to him and his friends that night:
They were dancing and drinking when a personnel of the nightclub approached them to ask if they wanted to upgrade to
“an enhanced VIP status” to which the group declined.
But then later, another nightclub employee approached them again, this time, to tell the actor that the person having a party at the VIP section of the casino wanted to meet him.
The complaint stated that Saintgnue “saw no problem with the request” and so he agreed to it. The nightclub employee escorted him to the VIP area. After exchanging a few words with the party host, he went back to his own table with his friends.
However, after leaving the party and paying $717.36, a nightclub personnel told him he must pay an additional $1,000 for VIP service.
It became obvious to Saintgnue that the nightclub personnel didn’t just innocently invite him to meet the party host, but rather, has solicited the actor to be the guest at that VIP party.
The actor refused to pay the added charges.

The nightclub personnel detained him in a back hallway. Later, Mirage personnel—about five to six men—came to demand for the payment which was later reduced to $700 and then went down to $164.68.
There was an exchange, then the violence started.
According to the actor, which was supported later by surveillance footage, he was trying to shoot a video of the whole thing with his phone to document and protect himself, when one of the men tried to reach for his phone.
The actor pulled away but the men on each side of him roughly grabbed his arm and slammed him against the wall, repeatedly banged his head against it. Then, they tackled him on the floor and handcuffed him.
Saintgnue didn’t fight back.
Footages later showed the actor in a security office and at 3.26am, after being warned not to come back at any MGM Resorts property, was released.
He reported the incident to the Las Vegas police. Now, Saintgnue has filed a lawsuit against the casino and nightclub and the employees of 1 OAK and Mirage involved in the incident.
