October 2, 2014—Grosvenor Casino in West Midlands experienced a minute of terror as masked men armed with what looked like a sickle and a large-bladed knife robbed the casino.
The two men, police intelligence identified as Grant Walker, 24, and Wayne Marsh, 33, stormed into the casino at about 7 in the evening that fateful night of October 2 and threatened the staff by waving the weapons in their faces.
A CCTV footage released by West Midlands police (Watch it here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3243774/Terrifying-moment-masked-robbers-armed-machete-hand-scythe-launched-60-second-casino-raid.html) showed terrified people running away as the two ransacked the casino for cash. They took money from the till, smashed computers and fled the scene in a stolen Audi A5.

The getaway car was driven by a third conspirator—41-year old Andrew Warley, who was waiting outside the casino during the rampage.
Further research showed another footage of the trio, that time without masks, acting suspiciously outside the casino just a day before the rampage. Although they have initially denied having anything to do with the robbery, they later admitted to the crime after having been shown this footage.

After almost a year, the trio has finally been convicted by the Wolverhampton Crown Court for conspiracy to commit robbery. They have been sentenced to a total of 26 years.
Warley was sentenced to 9 years, Walker was sentenced to 8 years and 8 months, while Marsh will be serving 8 years and 9 months in prison.
It wasn’t the first offence of the three. The casino raid was their third attack in a span of just nine months. They stole cash and cigarettes from a One Stop store in September last year. Warley was also their getaway driver.
The trio stormed into a Co-Op in West Midlands in the same month stealing £1,000 and cigarettes.
“They have rightly been handed long jail terms,” said Detective Sergeant Martin Kelly of the West Midlands Police.
